Visiting Us

Visit us at Gwent Archives to discover fascinating stories about the people and places of Gwent, revealed through a wealth of archival resources. 

Before your visit

Book your appointment by contacting us at enquiries@gwentarchives.gov.uk or 01495 766261. Please let us know if you would like to visit for the morning (9:30-12:30), the afternoon (13:30-16:30) or for the whole day.  You are welcome to bring someone with you, and a separate booking will need to be made in their name.  

Choose your documents using our online catalogues, Archives Hub and Discovery and let us know what you would like to see.  Staff will be available during your visit to advise on the collections before and during your visit.    

Sign up for an Archives Card, and you’ll just need to bring identification for us to complete the process and issue your card.
