Biographical/Historical note

The Revd. Edmucnd Turberville Williams was vicar of Caldicot from 1841 to 1885, where he was largely responsible for the founding of St. Mary's Church School.

The Revd. Pitt Eykyn was vicar of Magor between 1886 and 1890. He was an honorary member of the Central Council of Bell-ringers.
