Site at the Gaer, 0.562 acres purchaced from Newport Corporation for £400. Many queries about capital money realised by the sale of Stow Hill Baptist Church and invested by the Baptist Union Corp. Ltd., which has lost much of it's value. Also including, letter dated 5 October 1951 from J.D. Adey and Son giving reasons for sale of the Stow Hill Baptist Church (£8,500), copies of minutes of meetings, arrangements for the use of classrooms at the Gaer and St Julian's schools, also correspondence relating to insurance cover for the new church and a legacy from the estate of J. A. Griffiths (£1,193.8.3 and £125) 1944-1956 |
