Biographical/Historical note
The Baker Gabb family of Abergavenny, Monmouthshire, owned land in the parish of Llanfoist, Monmouthshire, during the early 19th century. At the same time Llanfoist Wharf on the Brecknock and Abergavenny Canal was used in the transportation of ore and lime to the Blaenavon Ironworks.
