Penrose 

 D3870/1  Draft Memorial of the Officers of the parish of Penrose to the Justices of the County of Monmouth to defer the building of a new County Asylum “until time hasbeen granted for the Petition of the Rate Payers of this Parishto be heard in Parliament”. This is identical in wording to the series of Petitions and Memorials, found in the Quarter Sessions records (ref. Q/P and M3), which were sent by many parishes in Monmouthshire in 1846. Penrose was not among the parishes whose Memorials were deposited. 4 Apr 1846
