Prosser, and Anne his wife. 2. Henry Morgan of Penlloynesarth within the aforesaid County of Monmouth, Esq. Three messuages, one cottage, three barns, one water grist myll, three gardens, three orchards, four hundred acres of land, forty acres of meadow, one hundred and fifty acres of pasture, twenty acres of wood with the appurtenances in Wollfesnewton alias Wolphsnewton in Co. Mon., with all barns, buildings, gardens, orchards etc. and all those several parcels of land, arable, meadow, pasture and woodland commonly called the meadow by the house, the close by the new barn, the close below the barn, Cae Pontviewe, Cae Croes Y Corres, Maesy Clydach Y Wrdod Newydd, Maes Y Therwen, Gwerne Yr Hebocke, Godre Maes Y Clydach, the close above the orchard, Croft Y Ball, the Three Croft Y Ball being about 15 acres and Croft Y Ball about 8 acres. All that capitall, messuage or tenement with the appurtenances wherein Rowland Morgan, gent., lately did inhabit and dwell and now the said John Rumsey dwelleth, lying and being in the parish of Wolvesnewton alias Wolphsnewton in the said Countie of Monmouth. Together with all appurtenances belonging to said messuage. And all those several parcells or closes of land arable, meadow, pasture, wood and woodland to the said messuage also now or late belonging or appertaining, now or heretofore commonly called by the severall name or names of the meadows by the house the close by the new barn, the close below the barne, Caie Pant Viewe, Cae Croes Y Cories, Maes Y Clydach Y Wyrlod Newydth, Maes Y Therwen, Gwerne Yr Hebocke Godre Maes Y Clydach, the close above the orchard, Croft Y Ball of about 8 acres Gilvene Ycha, Gilvene Vach the wood, the close beyond the water by the wood Yrynissoth, Ygworlode Bach, the close beyond the barne below the lane close Y Groes Yr Hengae, the pigges close conteyning in the whole about foure hundred and eighty acres be it more or less lying all in the parish of Wolvesnewton aforesaid. All that capital messuage or tenement wherein Rowland Morgan, gent., lately did dwell and where the said John Rumsey now dwelleth lying the parish of Wolvesnewton as in a Feoffment of 11 May 1663. Rent £100 p.a. With a Schedule of Deeds attached listing the deeds dated from 1622 to [26 February 1663]. 10 Nov 1664 (16 Chas. II)

 D176/8 Mortgage 1. Henry Rumsey of Wolvesnewton, Co. Mon., gent., son and heir of John Rumsey late of Wolvesnewton, deceased. 2. Margaret Rumsey of Penalt, Co. Mon., spinster, daughter of John Rumsey. £500. All that capital messuage or mansion house and tenement wherein Henry Rumsey now dwells and wherein John Rumsey did lately inhabit and all lands arable, meadow, and pasture to the said mansion house beloning situate in parish of Wolvesnewton by mears and bounds there well known. Edward Hoskins of the Pany within the parish of Newchurch. All that capital messuage or mansion house, tenement, farm and appurtenances (400 acres) wherein Henry Rumsey did dwell called Wolvesnewton in the parish of Wolvesnewton, Co. Mon. Also a water corn grist mill in same parish together with premises etc., known as Court House and lands in parish of Trelleck as in D176/45 (19 May 1762). 27/28 Mar 1764 

 D176/52-53 Lease for a Year/Release 1. Mary Kane of town of Monmouth, widow, only daughter and heiress of Thomas Lewis late of same place, mercer, deceased. 2. John Rumsey of Trelleck, Co. Mon., Esq. £140. Piece of meadow ground called Worlod Vach (1 acre) situate in the parish of Wolvesnewton, Co. Mon., between lands of Duke of Beaufort and the road leading from Wolvesnewton to Devauden Green and now in tenure of George Marshall. Also 3 pieces of pasture called Cae Werne Y Coed (14 acres) situated in parish of Wolvesnewton between the road from Wolvesnewton to Devauden Green, lands of Duke of Beaufort and lands of John Rumsey and now in the tenure of George Marshall. 29/30 Jun 1770
