Biographical/Historical note
Risca Fly Fishing Association was formed in 1957, with the purpose of promoting and controlling fishing in those sections of the Ebbw river and its tributaries which were leased from Risca U.D.C. Normally only ratepayers of Risca Urban District were eligible to join.
The Association continued until the 1970s, when it amalgamated with Ynysddu & Cwmfelinfach Angling Club and Blackwood Angling Club to form Islwyn and District Anglers.
