In 1844 the Ebbw Vale Company was bought by Abraham Darby IV, and others, of Coalbrookdale. The partners were Abraham Darby IV, Henry Dickinson, Joseph Robinson, J. Tothill and Thomas Brown, the latter being designated managing partner.
