Biographical/Historical note
Trostrey Excavation Group was founded by Geoffrey Mein, a prominent local historian and archaeologist.
The impetus for the setting-up of the Group was the excavation of Trostrey Castle and deserted village. The excavation of a further site at Coed Morgan, Llanover, was carried out between 2006 and 2010.
