Biographical/Historical note
Newport and Pontypool Productivity Committee was associated with the British Productivity Council and the East Wales Productivity Committee. Its stated aim was to represent all involved in industrial activity, with a view to improving the economy.
The conference drew on the findings of the Monmmpouthshire Survey report on Labour Turnover, 1958.
